Job Summary
The Solutions Architect - Data at SHI International leads the implementation of Statements of Work (SOWs) in alignment with client needs and business objectives, driving revenue growth by optimizing service offerings and identifying new opportunities. This role involves collaborating with SHI stakeholder teams to create synergistic solutions, engaging with sales teams for unified service delivery, and contributing to practice development through innovation and maintaining high-quality standards. The Solutions Architect - Data builds strong client relationships, provides thought leadership on technology trends, and oversees technology evaluations while staying current with new technologies and frameworks.
The Solutions Architect - Data will implement data and advanced analytics workloads, including data modeling, visualization, artificial intelligence, and analytics solutions for our company’s end customers and partners.
Role Description
• Responsible for the implementation of Power BI and Fabric technology including:
• Ingestion, transformation, modeling of data from from disparate workloads into Microsoft Fabric
• Transformation of data models leveraging Fabric Notebooks
• Design and creation of DAX measures of varying complexity
• Creation of data visualizations within Power BI that adhere to best practices and accessibility standards.
• Migrating and deploying multiple Power BI and Fabric workloads utilizing SHI's standards and best practices.
• Build and update documentation on customer Power BI and Fabric environments and integrations.
• Responsible for analyzing and collecting environment discovery data utilizing our company's developed tools and discovery scripts.
• Assist with the deployment and configuration of Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, auditing, and security
• Contribute to practice development by identifying areas for growth, leading innovation initiatives, and creating and maintaining practice standards to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Demonstrate deep expertise in Service Delivery and provide thought leadership and guidance to clients and SHI teams on best practices, trends, and innovations in technology.
• Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.
• Oversee and facilitate the evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards, and provide relevant technology/architecture recommendations.
• Stay current with new technologies and frameworks, drive the retirement of legacy solutions/technologies, and recommend adopting new partners or solution components.

Skill Level Requirements
• Proficiency with the implementation and support of Power BI and Fabric solutions.
• Basic understanding of executing scripts and connecting to environments utilizing Powershell.
• Drive to learn and deploy new Power BI and Fabric features and functionalities.
• Strong Troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to provide guidance to customers and partners on best practices for Power BI and Fabric deployment.
• Proficiency in overseeing and directing projects to completion, ensuring goals are met, resources are utilized efficiently, and stakeholders are satisfied.
• Ability to systematically identify, document, and manage the technical needs and specifications of a project by engaging with stakeholders and analyzing business objectives to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Ability to define, design, build, and maintain robust systems and solutions by leveraging systems and infrastructure effectively.
• Ability to write, debug, and maintain code in various scripting and programming languages to automate tasks and develop software solutions.
• Ability to develop detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) and drive revenue growth through professional services engagements.
Other Requirements
• Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
• 2+ years of experience with Power BI.
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• 2+ years of experience with data modeling and analytics.
• 2+ years of experience with solutions architecture
• Experienced with delivering pixel-perfect data visualizations.
• Experienced with using Python and/or R for data visualization and statistical analysis.
• Experienced with other data visualizations such as: Tableau, Looker, Domo, and Qlik.
• Travel to customer sites, up to 10% annually.
• Must obtain PL-300, DP-600, and DP-700 certifications within 9 months of hire.
The base salary for this position is $140,000 - $180,000. The estimated on-target earning, or OTE, which includes a base salary and bonus/commissions, are $180,000 - $225,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
