    Who we want

     

    Mays Business School is seeking an innovative and strategic Director of Learning Delivery to lead the design, execution, and optimization of online and hybrid learning environments and optimize the student learning experience. In this role, you will provide visionary leadership in developing college-wide goals and strategies for digital learning, oversee instructional teams, manage virtual learning studios, and ensure alignment of learning delivery workflows with Texas A&M University priorities. As the Director of Learning Delivery, you will also contribute to policy development, supports academic leadership, and deliver actionable insights through data analytics and progress reporting.     What you need to know

     

    Salary: $87,422 to $106,850 per year

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience

    + Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience

    + Ten years of related experience in the set up and operation of audio-visual equipment and computers used to support synchronous, virtual learning classrooms. Including 5 years of related experience in leadership role such as project management, training and development, program management, or instruction innovation in supporting virtual learning and/or online classes or classrooms

    Preferred Qualifications

    + A demonstrated record leading a learning delivery team in processes necessary to achieve strategic program outcomes at an institution of higher education.

    + Three to five years of leadership experience in project management, training and development, program management, and innovation.

    + Three to five years of experience supporting synchronous, online delivery of courses and programs at an institution of higher education.

    + Three years of experience in hiring, supervising, and evaluating full-time staff.

    + Experience working with Teaching & Learning Innovation Team

    + Knowledge of at least one learning management system.

    + Ability to manage short-term and long-term tasks and responsibilities.

    + Leadership and supervisory skills.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    + Exceptional communication skills paired with a knowledge of software and strategies that enhance teaching and learning in a digital learning environment.

    Essential Duties/Tasks

    Learning Delivery Strategy

    + Provides leadership in learning delivery and digital learning environments, including the development of college-wide goals, objectives, and strategic plans to support the implementation of current and future learning innovation.

    + Leads a collaborative team in the delivery of online and hybrid learning content by recruiting and retaining, training, mentoring, supervising, and evaluating team members.

    + Develops, manages, and evaluates the processes for delivering high-quality, synchronous online course content that aligns with industry best practices and program-level outcomes.

    + Aligns project timelines with a focus on program-level impact as well as the goals and objectives of Mays Business School.

    + Ensures that programs, activities, and services comply with University, State, and Federal regulations.

    + Creates, monitors, and calibrates learning delivery workflows across the team to ensure project alignment with timelines and allocated resources.

    + Scales and adapts learning delivery workflows to meet the needs and priorities of Mays Business School.

    + Leverages stakeholder feedback to ensure a positive and meaningful faculty experience with the learning delivery process.

    + Leads continuous improvement activities through the life cycle of the learning delivery process.

    + Contributes to budgeting plan and other financial aspects of the department.

    Learning Delivery Execution

    + Delegates to and relies heavily on team members for functional execution.

    + Contributes to development activities and processes in learning delivery as needed while developing the team and associated workflows.

    + Oversees and schedules virtual learning studios and recording studios in support of key undergraduate and graduate academic priorities of Mays Business School.

    + Ensures learning delivery aligns with key performance indicators and established priorities.

    + Trains faculty, staff, and students in the use of tools associated with the learning delivery environment.

    + Supervises and schedules support staff for virtual learning and recording studios.

    + Remains abreast of current trends and future developments in online education and strategically shares this information with faculty and staff as appropriate.

    College Leadership

    + Contributes to college-level conversations on procedures, processes, and guidelines that impact online and hybrid learning delivery.

    + Integrates and enforces department, college, university, system, and state level regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines into workflows as needed.

    + Champions student success in an online learning environment through the learning delivery process and project execution.

    + Oversees communication with academic departments and programs on matters related to online and hybrid learning delivery.

    + Serves on various college and university committees.

    + Participates in and engages with local, regional, national, and international professional associations and vendor conferences.

    Analytics

    + Tracks learning delivery activities and progress (time and resource allocations).

    + Provides regular reports to college leadership and project sponsors.
