Job Summary
The Director of IT Infrastructure, under general direction, leads network, telecommunications, and server operations and maintains responsibility for the IT Infrastructure within the department of ITS. The Director of IT Infrastructure will oversee the Network, Telecommunications, and System Administrator teams to ensure alignment of strategic goals and maintain daily operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Oversee the management and functionality of the IT infrastructure, including servers, network, and telecommunications.
+ Provides direction to and leads the Network, Telecommunications, and System Administrator teams.
+ Ensure the availability, reliability, security, and performance of the IT infrastructure.
+ Participates in developing departmental strategic plans based on department goals.
+ Implement and enforce robust security measures to protect university data and systems from threats and vulnerabilities.
+ Ensure compliance with university policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
+ Plans the budget for the department under their supervision and assist the Director of IT in planning and budgeting for the department.
+ Plans, executes, and coordinates project initiatives under their respective areas.
+ Participates in planning, directing, and coordinating operational or procedural matters to meet department goals and objectives.
+ Develop, implement, and maintain effective change management processes.
+ Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the various components of IT infrastructure.
+ Ensure regular testing and updates of these plans to ensure readiness during a disruption.
+ Engage with university stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and students, to understand their needs and requirements.
+ Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates and addressing concerns.
+ Represents the department, division, or university on various committees.
+ Provides supervision and guidance to a team or departmental sub-unit(s).
+ Maintain comprehensive documentation of the IT infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

This position is required to be “on-site”.
Minimum Requirements
Education – Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience – Ten years of related experience in management.
Knowledge of – Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Ability to – Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding.

This position generally supervises employees.
