Regeneron is looking for a Process Sciences Associate position with a Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm schedule. Occasional weekend work as needed. This position is part of the Upstream Investigations Team. Regeneron successfully manufactures a range of biopharmaceuticals for patients worldwide, including our approved therapeutic proteins and those involved in clinical studies. The Upstream Investigation Team supports the production facility by evaluating raw materials and performing investigation with small-scale bioreactor models. This Process Sciences Associate will lead and execute small-scale laboratory experiments and raw material studies related to production processes for biopharmaceuticals.

As a Process Science Associate, a typical day might include the following:

+ Development and execution of cell culture studies using aseptic technique in scale down model (Deep Well Plate, Shake flask, etc.) and bench-scale bioreactors

+ Support the execution of raw material evaluation. Communicate with supplier and Internal cross function team to ensure raw material supply and quality.

+ Generate, analyze, and maintain critical data in a highly organized manner

+ Tabulate results and write technical summary reports for process/raw material evaluations

+ Doing Multivariate analysis data analysis or building predictive model for in depth understanding of the cell culture process.

+ Present plans and results at group and interdepartmental meetings

+ Serve as subject matter expert in multi-functional teams

This role might be for you if you are:

+ Proficient with mammalian cell culture, especially in bench scale bioreactors

+ Able to work independently and as a group on multiple projects simultaneously

+ Able to continuously improve to acquire results.

+ Passionate in Biochemistry and have good academic performance for biology or biochemistry.

+ Understand linear algebra and has basic skills solving linear algebra matrix. Knowing how to build metabolic flux analysis will be a plus.

+ Comfortable learning and using some programming skills for problem solving (Python, Matlab)

+ Be curious and willing to do literature search. Communicate the topic to different audiences (PDM, PS)

To be considered for the Process Sciences Associate position you must be willing and able to work Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. Occasional weekend work is needed.

For various levels you must have the following:

Associate Process Engineer/Scientist I: BS/BA or MS in life sciences/engineering or related field; Chemical Engineering, or BioEngineering preferred and 0-2 years of relevant experience.

Process Engineer/Scientist : BS/BA or MS in life sciences/engineering or related field; Chemical Engineering, or BioEngineering and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Senior Process Engineer/Scientist : BS/BA or MS in life sciences/engineering or related field; Chemical Engineering, or BioEngineering and 4+ years or relevant experience.

Principal Process Engineer/Scientist: BS/BA or MS in life sciences/engineering or related field; Chemical Engineering, or BioEngineering and 6+ years or relevant experience.

Level is determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.
