    We currently have an opportunity for a **Senior Consultant, Retirement Plans** to join the team in our **Bethesda, MD** office.

     

    The selected individual will be responsible for building strong relationships with key retirement plan clients within the Mid-Atlantic Retirement & Private Wealth (RPW) team. The successful candidate must be a detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + Financial Wellness & Employee Engagement

    + Work closely with the VP of Financial Wellness and Financial Wellness Team to develop and deliver customized education & financial wellness programs to clients, including:

    + Development of educational content and materials

    + Delivery of live, in-person and virtual group education presentations

    + Delivery of one-on-one, individual financial coaching sessions – various mediums

    + Respond to client and individual participant e-mails and phone calls

    + Responsible for maintaining client relationships and all aspects of financial wellness service for specific clients and their employees, including:

    + Coordinating and leading annual financial wellness planning calls for designated Tier 1 clients

    + Coordinating with the Financial Wellness Client Service Associate on Retirement Committee deliverables and requests

    + Support the Financial Wellness and Marketing Teams in content creation and strategy:

    + Collaborate with Marketing Manager on developing new content and identifying pertinent topics to incorporate into the content calendar

    + Review and edit drafted content for accuracy and value add

    + Retirement Plan Consulting

    + Lead and manage the client relationship for assigned clients (estimated 4-12, Tier 2-4 client), including:

    + Schedule and hold review meetings with the Retirement Committee members

    + Proactively and timely prepare internal reports, spreadsheets, and analysis on client service needs to reveal opportunities for advice and counsel

    + Coordinate with the Client Service Associate to prepare the review materials

    + Complete follow-up items and documentation post review meeting

    + Proactively complete special projects and requests as needed

    + Generate reports with detail and precision across key data points, including industry statistics, client-specific usage and success metrics, and other areas

    + Provide consultation and advice to clients and retirement committees across numerous retirement plan-related topics, including:

    + Fiduciary governance and oversight

    + Investment due diligence

    + Plan design and strategy

    + Vendor/Recordkeeper management

    + Employee education and engagement

    + Provide mentorship to Relationship Managers (RMs) and Client Service Team (CSAs)

    + Join Office Manager in quarterly check-ins with 401(k) Relationship Managers and Client Service Associates

    + Deliver ongoing and timely feedback and guidance to RMs and CSAs to help further their experience and knowledge-base as they progress throughout their careers

    + HUB Bethesda Client Management & Scheduling

    + Proactively schedule client meetings for the HUB Bethesda team, including:

    + Retirement Committee Meetings

    + Financial Wellness Sessions

    + Provide calendar management support to Managing Director and Sr. Consultants, Retirement Plans, including scheduling and agenda for:

    + HUB-related meetings

    + Internal team meetings

    + Vendor/DCIO meetings

    + Strategic planning sessions

    + Prospective client sales and service support

    + As needed, participate in prospective client introductory and sales meetings (with Principals) to discuss and present role on the team and our holistic service model

    + Interact in a professional manner with third-party service providers, including mutual funds companies and others, building our strong, positive reputation in the industry

    + Measure, track, and maintain accountability for specific goals, both individually and as a team

    + Develop personal strategic goals to reach annually

    + Develop team-oriented goals for planning / discussion annually

    Qualifications:

    + 5+ years of financial services or employee benefits experience, including any knowledge of retirement plans and investments preferred

    + Series 65 registration

    + Industry designations, such as the AIF®, CPFA®, or NQPA™, preferred

    + Exceptional customer service experience

    + Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills

    + Proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems

    + Ability to interact with people across all levels of the business

    + Strong attention to detail

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    _The expected salary range for this position is_** **_$85,000 to $110,000_** **_and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
