IT Endpoint Engineer

We’re hiring an IT Endpoint Engineer to implement all endpoint management, endpoint inventory and automation systems, endpoint cost tracking and budgeting, and endpoint policy development and management within the organization. This role collaborates closely with IT operations team members and acts as the primary engineer for endpoints. This position ensures seamless endpoint management across all regional offices while serving as the main point of contact for office coordinators. This role leverages the use of SAAS database management tools, project management, endpoint management, MDM tools, and programmatic scripting and is also responsible for mentorship and support of the endpoint specialist. Finally, this position participates in presentations and training summits, collaborating with IT Operations Manager and other departments to deliver strategic IT initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As an IT Endpoint Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
+ Implementing IT initiatives with a focus on endpoint management and ticket support
+ Mentoring the IT Endpoint Specialist and provide training support, and technical insights on all systems used in hardware systems management
+ Developing and implementing endpoint-related policies, procedures, and troubleshooting documentation to enhance the overall IT infrastructure
+ Providing coordination and support to department/division heads and office coordinators across regional office IT infrastructure
+ Maintaining integrity of all endpoint systems and proactively communicate priorities with IT Operations Manager to achieve all assigned IT directives and initiatives

+ Supporting the setup and ongoing maintenance of IT infrastructure in project locations, facilitating smooth operations
Training and Presentations
+ Collaborating on the development and implementation of IT training, internal IT presentations and on-boarding for employees
+ Providing ongoing education and support to team members on IT systems and software
Regional Office Coordination
+ Acting as the primary point of contact and support for office hardware infrastructure in all regional offices, ensuring all endpoint and hardware needs are met efficiently. Including printer, network and other office devices
Policy Development
+ Drafting, reviewing, and implementing IT policies related to system security, device management, and IT operations
+ Ensuring policies align with industry best practices and organizational objectives
IT Support
+ Delegating, monitoring, and resolving IT tickets to ensure timely resolution in accordance with IT team policies and procedures and continuous collaboration
+ Contributing to and maintaining the IT knowledge base platform and utilize throughout ticketing system
+ Assisting in training support staff
Endpoint Management
+ Serving as administrator for device management platforms; managing endpoint integrity, security, and device lifecycle across the organization
+ Procuring and administering endpoint provisioning, updates, and support, ensuring compliance with organizational security standards; collaborating with IT and operations team to maintain and enhance endpoint deployment strategies
+ Continuously improving automation strategies including script and application strategies to reduce manual workload and increase productivity
+ Collaborating with IT and accounting teams to assist with IT invoicing, coding, budgeting, forecasting equipment needs and managing IT hardware expenses
Inventory Database Administration
+ Overseeing hardware inventory administration for tracking and managing organizational assets, including cost, user and other integrations for management and reporting requirements
+ Maintaining continuous operations, maintenance and periodic improvements of inventory system to ensure data integrity and optimize for evolving hardware needs
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
To be successful as a Dowbuilt IT Endpoint Engineer, you’ll need:
+ Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
+ 2+ years professional experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsft Entra and Microsoft exchange administration
+ 2+ years’ experience in endpoint support primarily for windows OS laptops as well as tablets, and Mac OS devices
+ Preference for candidates with experience with Jira ticketing, Jira Confluence and Smartsheet SAAS platforms
+ Preference for candidates with experience in PowerShell automation
+ Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical audiences
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities
+ Proven problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and resourceful approach to addressing challenges
+ Customer service mindset, with a focus on building relationships and providing timely support
+ High level of integrity, discretion, and emotional intelligence

The hiring base pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dowbuilt, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current hiring range salary is $80,000 - $90,000.
