Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Odessa, Florida. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to contribute to essential financial processes within a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all accounting activities.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record incoming invoices, ensuring payments are accurate and completed on time.

• Reconcile company accounts to verify that transactions align with goods and services received.

• Maintain and update the accounts payable ledger while organizing invoices and receipts.

• Respond to inquiries from vendors, contractors, and internal departments regarding payments and account details.

• Generate accounts payable reports and assist in preparing financial statements.

• Match payments to invoices, update statements with received transactions, and prepare outgoing invoices.

• Follow up on outstanding payments by contacting customers or suppliers and making collection calls.

• Investigate discrepancies in invoices and ensure accounting ledgers are accurate and up to date.

• Support month-end closing processes and assist in preparing monthly metrics.

• Complete ad hoc reports and provide assistance with customer file updates and payment reconciliations as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Sage 100 preferred but not required.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

• Familiarity with accounts receivable and payable procedures.

• Understanding of basic bookkeeping, credit, and accounting principles.

• Experience with cash applications and customer service.

• Excellent organizational skills and effective communication abilities.

• Ability to perform accurate data entry and invoice processing.

• Demonstrated expertise in account reconciliation and billing processes.
