Automation Engineer (Python, Java) III – Contractor
Job Type: Temporary / Contract: 28 weeks, Open for Extension
Department: Software Engineering / Quality Assurance
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer (Level III) to join our team focused on developing automation scripts for Smart TV experiences. This role involves working closely with QA, Product, and Development teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality entertainment applications. You will contribute to the automation of end-to-end testing processes, performance testing, and continuous integration workflows.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard coding practices.
+ Translate end-to-end regression test cases into reliable automation scripts.
+ Execute automated tests in CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot failures.
+ Conduct code reviews for automation and front-end codebases using Git.
+ Automate RESTful web service testing for data validation and error handling.
+ Implement performance testing scripts to assess speed, reliability, and resiliency.
+ Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
+ Participate in architecture discussions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
+ Consistently apply independent judgment in technical decision-making.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
+ 5–8 years of experience in automation testing across various applications.
+ Minimum 4 years of experience with the Cucumber automation framework.
+ Strong hands-on experience with Cypress for automated testing.
+ Proficient in JavaScript and Git version control.
+ Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Concourse (preferred).
+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA.
+ Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and initiative in resolving technical challenges.
+ Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

+ Experience participating in technical architecture meetings.
