Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records by managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are properly recorded.

• Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.

• Support month-end closing activities, including the preparation of financial reports.

• Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

• Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze financial data.

• Enter and update financial data efficiently, maintaining consistent accuracy.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support organizational planning.

• Monitor and report on financial activity to identify trends and areas for improvement. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and bank reconciliation processes.

• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.

• Experience in payroll processing and compliance.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of data entry procedures and financial record-keeping.
