Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Albany, Oregon. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to contribute to essential accounting functions in the food and food processing industry. The ideal candidate will excel in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Oversee general ledger activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries.

• Assist with month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is properly reconciled.

• Prepare financial reports in compliance with GAAP standards.

• Maintain payroll records and process employee payments accurately.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data to ensure proper documentation.

• Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making processes.

• Monitor and ensure adherence to internal accounting policies and procedures. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation procedures and general ledger management.

• Familiarity with journal entries and month-end close processes.

• Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles and standards.

• Experience with payroll management and processing.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
