Description

Our client, a growing organization in the gaming and hospitality industry, is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk on a short-term contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a strong background in accounts payable processes, who thrive in high-volume environments and have experience working with specialized accounting systems. The ideal Accounts Payable clerk will have strong technological skills as you will be having to access multiple systems and prior experience with both PO and Non-PO processing. This is a short-term contract opportunity, with the possibility of converting to a permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Clerk:

+ Perform end-to-end accounts payable tasks, including processing a mix of PO and Non-PO invoices, with volumes averaging 300-400 per week across varying workloads.

+ Execute 3-way match processes for, ensuring accuracy in entries and compliance with company standards.

+ Manage invoice data entry and coding, ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy.

+ Attach all supporting documentation, including invoices, receivers, and approvals, to ERP system records using tools like Adobe for creating and combining PDFs to support streamlined file management.

+ Investigate discrepancies, reconcile vendor statements, and provide accounts payable analysis to address and resolve outstanding issues.

+ Collaborate with warehouse staff and other internal teams to ensure inventory is received and recorded accurately within the system.

+ Assist with the preparation of accounts payable checks, including coordinating with team members to ensure timely approval and processing.

Requirements

Requirements:

+ Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role handling high-volume invoice processing and analysis.

+ Proficiency in working with inventory/warehouse-related systems (e.g., Stratten Warren, AS400, Infinium).

+ Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

+ Familiarity with 3-way matching, invoice coding, and accounts payable processes.

+ Competency in utilizing Adobe for file management tasks, including combining and attaching documentation to system records.

+ Intermediate to advanced Excel skills to support reporting, analysis, and reconciliation tasks.

+ Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

+ Experience in the gaming or hospitality sectors, particularly in accounts payable operations.

+ Understanding of workflows tied to receiving operations and accounts payable integration in inventory-heavy environments.
