Description
A premier manufacturing organization in Encinitas, CA, is looking for a dedicated HR Coordinator to join their team. This role focuses on supporting HR processes and initiatives for a large, fast-paced manufacturing facility. Candidates with prior experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting and Talent Acquisition:
+ Partner with team leaders to identify hiring needs and execute recruitment strategies for hourly, skilled, and salaried positions.
+ Organize and participate in job fairs, campus recruiting events, and hiring initiatives to maintain a talent pipeline.
+ Oversee the employee onboarding process, ensuring all new hire paperwork and pre-employment screenings are completed accurately.
HR Operations and Analytics:
+ Serve as the core administrator for HR systems, managing records, employee updates, and reports in platforms like Workday or Dayforce.
+ Generate workforce analytics, tracking trends in employee retention, absenteeism, and performance within the manufacturing environment.
+ Assist in payroll submissions and ensure accurate classification of exempt/non-exempt employees according to federal guidelines.
Compliance and Policy Development:
+ Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards specific to manufacturing environments (e.g., OSHA, ergonomic policies).
+ Maintain and update the employee handbook to align with state employment laws and industry standards.
+ Track employee adherence to required safety or operational certifications and recommend training programs as needed.
Employee Engagement and Labor Relations:
+ Support communication initiatives to keep employees informed about workplace benefits, policies, and company updates.
+ Advocate for employee engagement by developing and implementing wellness programs, employee recognition events, and workshops.
+ Assist in resolving employee concerns and providing recommendations to management for process improvement.
Requirements
+ 2–4 years of HR experience in manufacturing, logistics, or warehousing industries.
+ Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and unionized workforce dynamics (if applicable).
+ Proficiency in HR analytics tools and reporting metrics; advanced Excel skills or equivalent tools are a plus.
+ SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus but not required.
