Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Analyst to join our team and provide technical expertise and leadership in managing, designing, and troubleshooting enterprise-level network infrastructures, in the Houston area. This critical role requires deep experience with diverse networking systems, tools, and protocols, alongside strong communication and project management skills. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in large enterprise environments and within sectors such as Oil and Gas.
Key Responsibilities
+ Network Design and Deployment: Proactively design robust and scalable network solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
+ Troubleshooting and Performance Analysis: Execute advanced troubleshooting processes, including packet-level analysis with Wireshark and application performance root cause analysis, ensuring optimal network performance across the organization.
+ Enterprise Firewall Expertise: Deploy, configure, and manage enterprise firewall solutions, including multiple Palo Alto NextGen Firewalls, Prisma solutions, and Panorama management.
+ Cisco Hardware Management: Provide expert-level support and configuration for Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless hardware, Nexus Data Center architecture solutions, and Cisco ISE/NAC for network access control.
+ Network Protocols: Design and troubleshoot advanced protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, spanning tree, DMVPN, IPSEC/SSL VPNs, and network security frameworks.
+ Network Management Systems: Manage and optimize the SolarWinds Network Management suite of applications and leverage SNMP, NetFlow, IP SLA, and other network monitoring tools.
+ Software-Defined Networking: Implement software-defined network solutions for increased flexibility, scalability, and operational efficiency.
+ Project Management: Lead and contribute to network-related projects, including interfacing with customers and stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet business needs.
+ Field Support in Oil and Gas: Provide strategic and hands-on network support for field operations in the Oil and Gas industry, liaising effectively with field technicians.
Requirements
Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess the following:
+ Technical Expertise:
+ Extensive experience with Palo Alto products (e.g., Panorama, NextGen Firewalls, Prisma).
+ Extensive experience with Cisco routing, switching, firewalls, wireless hardware, and Nexus Data Center Architecture.
+ High-level expertise with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and Network Access Control (NAC) solutions.
+ Proficient in SolarWinds Network Management Suite tools and their application.
+ Advanced knowledge of Wireshark for packet-level analysis and application performance troubleshooting.
+ Comprehensive understanding of networking protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, DMVPN, spanning tree, and advanced VPN technologies.
+ Experience with software-defined networking and design methodologies.
+ Working knowledge of SNMP, NetFlow, IP SLA, and other management protocols.
+ Industry Background: Experience in the Oil and Gas sector with field support is a significant plus.
+ Certification: CCNP certification is highly desirable.
+ Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly. Proven project management and customer interfacing expertise.
