Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with expertise in accounts receivable to join our team on a contract basis. This position is based in Louisville, Kentucky, and focuses on resolving complex AR challenges, improving processes, and ensuring overall financial accuracy. The ideal candidate will play a key role in analyzing, reconciling, and optimizing the accounts receivable ledger while collaborating with various teams to enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Address aged receivables and unapplied payments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Conduct root cause analysis to identify recurring issues and implement effective solutions.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline workflows and prevent future errors.

• Generate and review regular AR reports to monitor progress and highlight key metrics.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all AR processes.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

• Utilize accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP, for accurate data management.

• Support high-volume AR operations with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address concerns and provide updates. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or reconciliation.

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.

• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal and external teams.

• Experience with process improvement initiatives in AR operations is preferred.

• Familiarity with high-volume accounts receivable environments is a plus.

• Certifications in accounting or finance are advantageous.
