Set-up, adjust, and operate CNC machines and be capable of tending multiple machines. Reset tools as required to produce parts within close limits where finish requirements are difficult to maintain.
+ Set-up, adjust, and operate CNC Turning Center machines
+ Be capable of tending multiple machines in a production mode
+ Required to keep maintenance and production logs
+ Work from blueprints, operation sheets, programs, specifications, and verbal instructions
+ Maintain tools and machine adjustments
+ Must be accountable for process, evaluation, measurement, documentation, and improvement on a continuous basis
+ Reset tools as required to produce parts within close limits where finish requirements are difficult to maintain
+ Check set-up and production parts using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments
+ Actively participate in department and process team activities and projects
Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Short term trade training in NC or CNC (1-2 years)
+ Good verbal, reading, writing and math skills
+ Have a knowledge and understanding of conventional/ conversational programming
+ Basic computer skills
+ Be capable of using a variety of measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, bevel protractor, scales, etc.
+ Must be able to read blueprints and drawings
