Purpose:
The Partner, Pricing and Channel Analysis plays a critical role in providing analytical-based business insights that have measurable impact across the full Astellas portfolio. Position is responsible for developing reporting and analysis of pricing strategy and contracting programs for US Commercial brands. It requires a high level of analytical skill and detail orientation. Highly motivated self-starter with effective critical thinking and interpersonal skills required to work through complexities with cross-functional teams.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
+ Perform extensive analysis of sales, discounts, and performance by channel. Mine data from multiple sources. Analyze trend breaks and investigate root cause. Create executive summary highlighting key performance indicators.
+ Prepare and analyze forecast for government channels by product, align assumptions with finance and C&P Contract Strategy & Forecasting team. Support all variances to previous forecast.
+ Prepare accurate quarterly accruals and align with finance and C&P Contract Strategy & Forecasting team, support assumptions and ensure integrity of reporting by passing all financial and JSox quarterly audits.
+ Partner with cross-functional teams to provide strategic analysis supporting US pricing trends, government pricing, policies, and legislations.
+ Conduct quantitative and qualitative competitive analysis evaluating impact of potential pricing strategies and actions.
+ Run State Price Transparency scenarios in conjunction with pricing action analysis, to determine reporting requirements and triggers by state. Manage State Price Transparency dashboard to run all pricing scenarios and work with consultants on enhancements to incorporate business rules for new laws as needed.
+ Monitor pricing based on competition, market share, utilization, costs and recommend any price adjustments where warranted. Obtain approvals from Strategic Pricing Committee (SPC). Execute pricing actions by communicating with internal and external sources (drug pricing compendia). Pass all financial audits on price changes.
+ Support Commercial organization during NDC launches and NDC changes by leading collection of required materials for drug pricing compendia communications. Act as the primary contact for compendia partners.
+ Business support for 340B data and reporting.
+ Develop financial models and presentation materials to support contract negotiations for assigned customers. Support the creation of contract proposals by conducting the analysis of volume and ROI potential under multiple scenarios. Present for approval at the Strategic Pricing Committee (SPC), ensuring that all analysis is completed and clearly articulated. Maintain database of contract offers and communicate approval status to stakeholders.
+ Proactively maintain cross-functional relationships with Contracts & Pricing teams, Commercial Finance, Government Affairs & Policy, MAx account managers, IT, and Legal.
+ Participate in cross-functional meetings to resolve opportunities and move ideas forward.
+ Additional duties as needed.
Qualifications Required:
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ 5+ years successful work experience in a financial/analytical role.
+ Advanced MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
+ Working knowledge of sales data sources
+ Strong orientation to detail and critical thinking skills
+ Excellent oral and written communication, presentation skills. Ability to effectively communicate issues verbally and in writing in a clear and understandable manner
+ Customer service commitment with ability to inspire trust and confidence through effective communication and interpersonal skills
+ Strategic thinking, creativity and capacity to assist others in developing ideas and business opportunities
+ Strong work ethic and ability to produce high quality work under deadline pressures
Preferred:
+ Experience working with Qlik applications
+ Understanding of government programs, policies and legislations impacting pharmaceutical industry
+ Knowledge of US healthcare landscape including market access models and contracting strategies

**Salary Range:** $122,500 -$175,000 (NOTE: Final salary could be more or less, based on experience)
