Description
Choisys Technology is seeking a Web and Graphics Developer to support the Legal Center & School (LLC) in Charlottesville, VA. This hybrid role supports the development and maintenance of web pages, user interface design, and digital graphics for internal training and communication platforms.
90% remote - 10% onsite -In-person attendance required every other Tuesday.
NOTE:Initial onboarding period will require daily in-person for up to one (1) month attendance to acclimate to systems, workflows, and team dynamics.
Position Summary:
The Web and Graphics Developer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving the organization’s internal and external digital assets, including web pages, UI/UX elements, and graphic content across platforms such as websites, LMS (e.g., Blackboard), and internal tools. This role also includes collaboration with stakeholders to develop intuitive, user-friendly digital environments.
Core Responsibilities:
+ Design and maintain visually modern and intuitive web pages across multiple internal websites.
+ Develop layouts and templates that prioritize user experience, accessibility, and responsive design.
+ Collaborate with other web developers (e.g., Ben) to implement designs and features.
+ Create and edit graphics and images based on customer needs, with a strong sense of visual design and sizing for web use.
+ Troubleshoot basic front-end display issues and participate in routine site updates.
+ Provide design input and support for content updates, revisions, and optimization projects.
+ Offer multiple concepts and drafts to support iterative feedback and refinement.
+ Track and report basic website usage statistics as needed.
+ Prioritize and execute design updates in collaboration with the Site Lead and project stakeholders.
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
+ Solid foundation in UX design principles and responsive design.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
+ Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) - such as WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Drupal,DNN CMS experience is preferred
+ Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
+ Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign - preferred, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
Preferred Skills:
+ Familiarity with SCSS.
+ Experience with Canva for graphic editing.
+ DNN CMS experience is a plus.
