    Business Development Manager – Aerospace and Defense

     

    Salary Range: 130,000 to 150,000 dollars annually, plus 10 percent bonus

     

    Travel Requirement: 30 to 50 percent domestic and international travel

     

    We are seeking a Business Development Manager for a growing aerospace and defense manufacturer focused on electric propulsion systems. This full-time position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing and is based onsite unless traveling.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and defense contractors on a global scale

    + Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the aerospace and defense industries

    + Collaborate closely with engineering teams to align technical solutions with customer requirements

    + Lead customer engagements, proposal development, bid strategies, and contract negotiations

    + Analyze market trends and monitor competitor offerings in the electric propulsion space

    + Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and aerospace and defense industry events

    + Track and report on key performance indicators and growth targets

    + Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Sales and Marketing

    Qualifications

    Education and Experience

     

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required

     

    At least two years of experience in business development within aerospace or defense sectors

     

    Preferred experience in propulsion systems, power systems, or electrical components

     

    Familiarity with electric motor and generator technologies used in aerospace applications is a strong plus

     

    Skills and Competencies

     

    Strong technical and business background

     

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

     

    Effective organizational skills and the ability to lead or support cross-functional teams

     

    Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

     

    Customer-oriented, results-driven, and highly motivated

    Additional Requirements

    Must be authorized to work in the United States

    This position involves access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must be either a U.S. Person or eligible to obtain required export authorization
