    This position is for an individual who has an M.S. or M.A. degree in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

    Job Summary

    This position exists for an individual who was employed as an SLP Clinical Supervisor for more than a decade and who will step down at the end of the spring term.

     

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

     

    + Clinical supervision of master's level students enrolled in the Speech-Language Pathology graduate program.

    + Current knowledge and skills in the assessment and treatment of communicative disorders.

    + A broad-based knowledge of assessment tools and clinical methodologies used to evaluate and treat communicative disorders.

    + Critiquing student competencies and assigning grades in the ClinicNote software system.

    + Editing treatment plans on a weekly basis and approving reports written at the beginning and end of each semester

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    The applicant must be licensed through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and must be eligible for licensure in the state of Mississippi. The applicant must also have a minimum of three years experience employed in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

     

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

     

    The applicant must have a broad-based knowledge of assessment and treatment techniques and know how to utilize the tools and equipment required to demonstrate expertise in the profession.

    Preferred Qualifications

    The applicant must have a current ASHA license to practice in the field as a Speech-Language Pathologist and be eligible for licensure in the state of Mississippi. The preferred candidate will also have 5+ years working in the field of Communication Sciences and Disorders and school-based expertise in the areas of articulation and language disorders.
