    Summary This position is located at the BRD Special Events department on Fort Carson. Responsibilities Serves as the Special Events Coordinator and Production Manager for Army Entertainment. Deliver support to major command events and is responsible for the planning and executing of special events to the military and civilian population. Responsible for duties of assigned military, civilian and contractor personnel in meeting production and program missions. Requires innovative approaches and adaptations due to limited resources and diverse range of the population's interest/needs. Special events implemented include community wide events: 4th of July Celebration, Army Soldier Show, Army Concert Tour Comedy events, ticket sales and tours as well as volunteer-based Music and Theatre productions, etc. Submits a cost analysis of special events prior to implementation and after each event. Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of ongoing activities and coordinates events with Marketing/Commercial Sponsorship, and supervisor. Responsible for staging, trusses, sound, lighting and video systems. Ensures equipment is properly maintained, transported, setup, and disassembled using OSHA and fire regulations. Establishes SOP’s for these procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Work experience and/or education related to the duties to be performed. 2. Work requires the use of physical exertion when preparing for and overseeing events. 3. Must be able to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items. 4. Experience in travel office booking cruises, tours, etc. is highly desirable. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will be paid. Relocation incentive up to the amount of $10,000 is authorized. Eligibility for this incentive will be applicable to hired individuals living outside of the local commuting area of Fort Carson.
