    Advertising/Posting Title Business Operations Manager

    Posting Summary

    Provide overall administrative management and supervision of the fiscal management, daily operations, human resources and performance for the newly formed Department of Emergency Medicine; a complex academic, research and clinical department in the Larner College of Medicine, UVMMC and the UVM Health Network. Influence area operations and provide administrative leadership while resolving a diverse range of problems consistent with an understanding of the mission, values, roles and goals of the unit. Comprehensive understanding of management principles, applicable regulatory guidelines and university policies and procedures. Exercise discretion of sensitive/confidential information in a highly charged environment.

    Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration or related field with 2-4 years financial experience required. Ability to analyze and forecast based on available data. Proficient with spreadsheet and database applications. Ability to prioritize effectively, optimize time and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    Desirable Qualifications

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word. Experience in financial administration of large departments/organization. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and People Admin.

     

    Anticipated Pay Range $75,000-$85,000

    Special Conditions This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Background Check required for this position
