    Join our team as a Respiratory Therapist within our Respiratory Therapy department at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego.     The Respiratory Therapist, in collaboration with other caregivers:

    * Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates actions for respiratory care.

    * Performs all technical diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to respiratory care and other core responsibilities necessary to maintain the flow of patient care and comfort in the unit.

    * Responds to critical situations.

    * Utilizes computer systems in performing position duties.

    * Adheres to Hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

    * Participates in Quality Control, preventative maintenance, and performance improvement activities.

    *R**equired:*

    * Current California RCP license

    * Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification

    * Excellent interpersonal skills

    * Enjoys working with the public

    * Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English

    * Technically competent in the department skills inventory

    * Computer literate

    Preferred:

    * Graduate of one or two year AMA School of Respiratory Care

    * Prefer one or more years acute care experience

    * NICU experience
