Job Title: Building/Linen Attendant - Courier

Department: Environmental Services

Hours Per Week: 40 Hours

Schedule: 8 hour shifts; Variable days/shifts; Every other weekend/holiday; One week a month on call for courier service.

SUMMARY:

Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while delivering excellent customer service. Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSDS, and all safety and regulatory guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Remove and dispose of trash and waste materials safely.

+ Clean patient rooms, operating rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas following departmental standards.

+ Maintain floors, including stripping, waxing, and carpet shampooing as scheduled.

+ Ensure walkways remain clear and safe for access.

+ Respond promptly to visitor, patient, and staff requests for assistance.

+ Follow OSHA and MSDS safety practices.

+ Prioritize customer and patient satisfaction while working collaboratively to achieve departmental goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Clean and active NYS driver’s license with the ability to drive and work in extreme weather conditions.

+ Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, move, and lift up to 50 pounds.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

+ High School Diploma (or equivalent)

+ At least 6 months experience in industrial cleaning setting.

+ Experience in hospital linen management

+ Proficiency in operating cleaning equipment and assessing common area conditions using vision, touch, hearing, and verbal communication.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE:

$17.74 - $25.22

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
