    Job Description

    As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies. You will manage daily purchasing activities, supervise staff, allocate tasks, and oversee supplier relations. Your role will include negotiating contracts, prices, and timelines, maintaining the supplier database, and coordinating with inventory control to manage inventory needs. You will ensure that all procured items meet quality standards and specifications, prepare cost estimates, manage budgets, and work to improve purchasing systems and processes. Additionally, you will train new employees in the purchasing process and the use of purchasing systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and implement purchasing strategies.

    + Manage daily purchasing activities and supervise staff.

    + Negotiate contracts, prices, and timelines.

    + Maintain supplier database and purchase records.

    + Coordinate with inventory control to manage inventory needs.

    + Manage maintenance of office/manufacturing equipment and machinery.

    + Ensure procured items meet required quality standards and specifications.

    + Prepare cost estimates and manage budgets.

    + Work to improve purchasing systems and processes.

    + Train new employees in purchasing processes and systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Degree in business administration or a related field.

    + Experience as a purchasing manager or in a similar position.

    + Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.

    + Supervisory and management experience.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.

    + Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.

    + Strong planning and organizational skills.

    + Ability to work independently.

    Work Environment

    You will work directly with the Supply Chain Director. Employees receive 5 paid sick days per year, and new hires are offered 2 weeks of accrued vacation per year. After 3 years of employment, employees receive 3 weeks of vacation, and after 6 years, 4 weeks of vacation per year.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
