Honeywell is currently hiring an experienced Advanced Turbomachinery Project Engineer to join their team in Torrance, CA.
As an Advanced Turbomachinery Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will provide expert-level technical leadership in the design and development of complex engineering projects, acting as the subject matter expert and driving technical excellence. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES includes:
+ Overseeing the design, development and qualification of turbomachinery components including Gas Foil Bearings, Liquid Cooling Systems, Turbine Power Systems, Compressors and Fans which meet customer and internal requirements.
+ Leading teams in establishing program plans with respect to cost and schedule.
+ Identifying and resolving design problems of performance, strength, weight, material selection and finishes.
+ Identifying and incorporating best practices for product design.
+ Implementing development and qualification test objectives, writing test procedures, and overseeing the preparation of test units and the conduct of tests.
+ Coordinating activities to reduce test data, prepares test reports.
+ Production Technical support
The annual base salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $147,000.00 Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in turbomachinery design and analysis
+ Strong knowledge of turbomachinery design principles, tools, and techniques
+ Experience with advanced engineering analysis methods such as CFD analysis and finite element analysis
