As an **OT Network & Infrastructure Engineer,** you will be responsible for responsible for project and operational support of network infrastructure for Honeywell Advanced Materials Plant Control Networks (PCNs) and Solstice Advanced Materials ISC Plant Control Networks (upon conveyance in late 2025 or early 2026). The candidate will be supporting all networks globally and will need to maintain safety protocols for all plants in the business as they will be travelling between them for project related work.
You will report directly to the Director IT, Site IT & OT leader who is also responsible for site IT leaders, OT support and project management. This role may be remote for an appropriate internal candidate that is familiar with our operations, otherwise the role will be based out of our Houston location for proximity to our Gulf area plants.
+ Configuration and management of switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices to ensure reliable and secure connectivity between machines and control systems.
+ Monitoring of network performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with other teams to optimize the manufacturing process.
+ Key skills for this role include knowledge of industrial control systems, networking protocols, and cybersecurity best practices.
+ Support implementation of new technology stacks and migration of workloads from old hardware to new
+ Participate in calls with other members to address and troubleshoot infrastructure related issues.
+ Available at off hours to assist in critical support calls to prevent or restore network connectivity for manufacturing plants globally.
+ Travel up to 30% of your time, to our manufacturing sites to perform support or project related work on equipment in a manufacturing environment.
YOU MUST HAVE
+ 5+ years of experience as a network engineer with Cisco switchgear and Checkpoint firewalls (or equivalent)
+ 5+ years of experience of demonstrated network troubleshooting
+ 2+ years of experience with Visio or similar for creating networking diagrams
+ 2+ years of experience with dashboarding or analytics experience with network KPIs and logs
+ Ability to work within an Export Controlled environment with sensitive Intellectual Property and Process knowledge.
+ Demonstrated experience in network architecture, deployment and support of site wide networks
+ Demonstrated knowledge of all different fiber and copper types and their appropriate uses
WE VALUE
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
+ Experience with support of IT/OT systems, including network implementation & segmentation, PLC’s and field devices, and IT systems (i.e. Experion)
+ Experience with support of high virtualized compute infrastructure such as Dell VXRail, vSAN or similar
+ Strong interpersonal skills: excellent oral, written and collaborative communication skills and teaming
+ Skilled in partnering with internal customers at all levels to define problems, identify solutions, and facilitate change
+ The ability to partner effectively across IT teams, suppliers and business customers on cross-functional projects and process improvements
+ Self-motivated with a demonstrated bias for action
+ VMWare and Basic Windows troubleshooting experience
