    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position provides management and oversight of the treatment court clinicians within Beacon Mental Health. The treatment court supervisor will work in conjunction with the Manager of Susbtance Use Services and treatment courts to ensure all guidelines and quality standards are met for assigned teams.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Provides clinical supervision of Beacon treatment court counselors. Ensure effective coordination and delivery of both mental health and substance use treatment court services.

    • Adhere to ASAM criteria in clinical documentation including making appropriate treatment recommendations and level of care. Complete ASAM required trainings and required continuing education hours.

    • Ensure that ASAM criteria are being met within treatment court programs. Ensure all new staff that need ASAM training have completed that training within 90 days of the start date.

    • Directly oversees the implementation, communication, and coordination with Circuit Court Judges, clerks, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and probation and parole in Beacon Mental Health’s catchment to ensure success of the treatment team processes.

    • Provides clinical direction and training to staff and in Treatment Court programs as needed to maintain policy and best practice compliance.

    • Coordinates with family members and/ or loved ones, as appropriate, to provide education and understanding of the impact of substance use.

    • Monitors individual productivity and direct reports to ensure timelines and quality standards are met for direct reports according to DMH and CMS guidelines based on Beacon’s contractual requirements.

    • Responsible for hiring direct reports, training, and completing annual performance reviews for direct reports.

    • Ensures established policy and procedural guidelines are followed by both agency team members and providers in compliance with state certifications and national accreditation standards.

    • Cultivates partnerships with community organizations to ensure the maximum utilization of resources available for substance use treatment and rehabilitation.

    • Partnering with the Manager of SUD Services, provides oversight of contracted drug testing laboratory for Treatment Court programs.

    • Assists Manager of SUD Services in providing oversight of the contract and compliance of all drug and alcohol testing services for Beacon.

    • Possesses knowledge of the curriculum of treatment programs which are inclusive of best practice models and agency initiatives, including trauma informed care.

    • Recommends program changes and growth strategies to ensure community needs are met.

    • Completes audits for internal staff and provider agencies on a quarterly basis to ensure maintenance of quality services .

    • Provides clinical services and maintains productivity standard via screening, individual counseling, group counseling, assessment, and treatment planning.

    • Maintains knowledge of agency technology programs and/or systems needed to do the job and uses them effectively.

    • Ensures the program philosophy and criteria are implemented and enforced by all direct reports.

    • Participate in assessment team meeting, facilitate team meeting.

    • Attends various workshops, seminars and professional meetings to keep abreast of best practice models for integration of behavioral health and primary health continuity of care.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

    Education/Certifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred and

    • Qualified Addiction Professional by the Missouri Credentialing Board Inc.: MAADC-I, MAADC-II, CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, CCDP, CCDP –P, RSAP-P and/or

    • Clinical or Provisional License preferred (ex. PLPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, or Licensed Psychologist

    • CPR/First Aid Certification required.

    • Valid driver’s license plus minimum state-mandated auto insurance required.

    Experience Required:

    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years behavioral health (mental health and substance use) and supervisory experience. 5+ years prior experience preferred.

    Required Knowledge:

    • Thorough knowledge of the pharmacology of drugs and alcohol and the various modalities of treatment for substance use.

    • Knowledge of community health care and community methods, procedures, and services.

    • Considerable knowledge of accreditation and certification standards and their application.

    Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.

    • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports and other material
