•About the Role

Are you experienced with building automation system sand ready to jump into a new opportunity ASAP? A leading construction company in Omaha is seeking Controls Technicians to join their growing team. You'll play a key role in installing and supporting HVAC automation systems across various job sites in Nebraska.

•️Key Responsibilities

+ Install conduit and wiring for Building Automation System (BAS) devices and controllers

+ Mount and connect control panels, sensors, actuators, and field devices

+ Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plans

+ Collaborate with project managers and engineers to meet design specs

+ Test and troubleshoot systems to ensure proper operation

+ Maintain accurate documentation of installations and materials used

•️Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years of experience as a Controls Technician

+ Proficiency in low-voltage electrical systems and control wiring

+ Familiarity with HVAC systems and BAS (Siemens PLC experience is a plus!)

+ Strong blueprint/schematic reading skills

+ Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities

+ Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel

•Experience Level

Intermediate to Expert– Ideal for technicians with hands-on experience in controls or automation.

•Travel

Job sites include Grand Island, Beatrice, Yutan, Norfolk, and more. Travel is required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
