    Medical Office Receptionist – Heart & Vascular Specialists – Full-Time, Days** **_Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together_** **Work location:** 3144 Horizon Road, Suite 220, Rockwall, TX 75032 **Work hours:** Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm **Heart & Vascular Specialists** **Department Highlights:

    Here’s What You Need

    + **High School Diploma or equivalent (required)**

    + **2 years Healthcare experience in a Physician’s Clinic (strongly preferred)**

    + **Medical Insurance Experience (strongly preferred)**

    + Be an outgoing individual with a friendly attitude

    + Have strong attention to detail

    + Be able to multi-task front desk job responsibilities for a busy Speciality Clinic

    + Must have outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills

    + Have knowledge of medical insurance authorization/billing requirements

    + Have demonstrated strong customer service and communication skills

    + Have organizational and time management skills

    + Be proficient computer skills

    + Have knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory requirements

    + Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

    + Be a team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

    What You Will Do

    + Delivers care to patients utilizing the Medical Office Receptionist Process

    + Under direct supervision, performs patient check-in at the time of visit and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.

    + Obtains accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts.

    + Copies/scans patient access related hard copy materials (e.g., ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record.

    + Prepares charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete. Pre- Registration for patient appointments

    + Conducts all functions associated with patient check-out including pricing services, collecting patient responsibility payments, and scheduling follow-up appointments.

    + Schedules appointments according to office guideline.

    + Confirms next day appointments and alerts patients as to what documentation is needed, including details associated with time-of-service payment.

    + Answers phone calls and directs them appropriately.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.
