    *The University of Maryland Baltimore’s (UMB) department of University Recreation & Fitness (URecFit) & Wellness has an opportunity for a URecFit & Wellness Business & Programs Operations Coordinator.*The Operations Coordinator will provide operational support for membership services, facility operations, and programs, including evenings and weekends. The person in this role will complete business audits, maintain different inventory logs, and train part-time staff in key operational areas./This*full-time, contractual*position will serve as a Professional on Call and must maintain ongoing crisis management and response of all emergency action plans and risk management procedures./This position will report to the Manager, URecFit & Wellness Business & Programs Operations. *Benefits Information* UMB offers acomprehensive benefits packagethat prioritizes wellness, work/life balance, and professional development. All employees are expected to work primarily physically within the State of Maryland. * *Primary Duties* * Provide client relation services and coordinate the operations in the area of URecFit Business & Programs. * Coordinate crisis management and response of all emergency action plans and risk management procedures in the area of URecFit Business & Programs. * Coordinate business operations, within the business office such as fee collections, daily deposits, processing & reconciliation of payroll deductions, and C-1 & student employment processes. Assist with maintenance of business and enterprise compliance for the business & fiscal operations, and regular business and fiscal decisions impacting the department. * Coordinate and assist with programmatic access processes for students and members. * Maintain membership services and client relations. Assist with maximizing the social media presence, marketing strategies, and client engagement opportunities for the unit. Coordinate program and client assessments and assessment plans. * Coordinate training for staff in facility operations, point of sale, business software, and operations software. * Assist with the department’s business and client services technology and user interfaces including the department’s CRM, Client Web Portal, User App, and onsite business technology platforms. * Assist with program assessments and compile data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. * May participate in the development of services, business and facility operations, and programming. * Perform other duties as assigned. *Education:*Bachelor's degree. Bachelor's degree in Exercise Sciences, Recreation, Fitness Management, Kinesiology, Health Education, Management Sciences, Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education Administration, or closely related field preferred. *Experience:*Prior experience is preferred. *Certification/Licensure:*CPR and AED; First Aid; Pool Operator certifications required or willingness to obtain once hired. Project Management related certification preferred. Criminal background and fingerprinting is required. *Other:*Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of related experience. In instances where specific education and/or experience is required only directly related education and/or experience may be substituted. Position may include evenings and weekends. Knowledge of all applicable requirements, regulations, and laws. Skill in effective use of applicable technology/systems. Ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written thoughts, ideas, and facts. Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently.
