    Shipment Receiver

    **Pay:** $16/hour for the first 6 months, increasing to $18+/hour with state benefits.

    Overview:

    The Receiving Specialist plays a vital role in the **Materials Management** department, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of incoming packages and supplies. This position involves inspecting shipments, verifying product accuracy, maintaining inventory records, and assisting with the distribution of materials essential for operations within the medical complex.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments at the loading dock, ensuring accuracy and quality.

    + Sort and organize packages, properly documenting inventory using Microsoft Office and other tracking systems.

    + Maintain compliance with safety regulations while lifting, moving, and handling packages up to 50 lbs.

    + Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies in shipments.

    + Conduct routine quality control checks to ensure proper handling and storage of materials.

    + Assist with inventory replenishment, ensuring stock levels are maintained efficiently.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in inventory management and material handling.

    + Proficiency in picking, packing, and order picking.

    + Ability to operate RF scanners.

    + Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and logistics.

    + Familiarity with SAP and warehouse inventory systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED equivalent.

    + One year of related work experience.

    + Effective oral and written communication skills.

    + Computer literacy with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    + Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is clean and climate-controlled within a hospital setting. Monday to Friday 7am-3:30pm

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, South Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr.
