    Job Title: Janitor

    Job Description

    The individual will be responsible for cleaning hospital rooms, focusing primarily on sanitizing rooms between patient discharges. The role involves extensive walking, requiring comfort with being on your feet throughout the day. Responsibilities include wiping down equipment, emptying trash, sweeping floors, dusting, cleaning spills, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces as needed across multiple floors.

    Responsibilities

    + Sanitize hospital rooms between patient discharges.

    + Wipe down medical equipment and surfaces.

    + Empty trash receptacles and maintain cleanliness.

    + Sweep and mop floors; dust surfaces.

    + Clean spills promptly and efficiently.

    + Use issued iPhones to access daily assignments and cleaning tutorials.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience working with smartphone technology.

    + Ability to learn hospital floor plans quickly.

    + Comfortable with extensive walking and being on feet all day.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Previous experience in janitorial work, preferably in healthcare.

    + Willingness to transition from manufacturing/distribution to healthcare.

    + GED/diploma preferred.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is fast-paced, demanding patience and adaptability. It is the #1 trauma center, which may present challenging situations. Employees follow a rotating schedule and must work every other weekend and major holidays. Initially, there might be a delay in obtaining a badge, requiring patience. The role involves a significant amount of walking throughout the hospital.

    This is a Contract position based out of Danville, Pennsylvania.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
