    The University at Albany is hiring a Program Director to launch and implement the ACE (Advancing Completion through Engagement) program. The ACE Director will oversee the implementation and management of the ACE program at the University at Albany. This program is designed to support students in completing their degrees on time by providing comprehensive academic, financial, and personal support. The Director will manage all aspects of the program, ensure fidelity to the established model, and collaborate with SUNY and various college departments to achieve program goals and ensure student success.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Lead the implementation and coordination of the program, ensuring alignment with SUNY guidelines, policies, and objectives. For example:

    + Collaborate with Admissions and Financial Aid to recruit, track, and verify eligibility of the cohort admitted to the ACE program.

    + Develop a comprehensive blueprint for holistic support services, encompassing academic advising, career development, and financial literacy education.

    + Prepare monthly reports for SUNY detailing all program activity and contact with students in the cohort.

    + Recruit, train, and supervise program staff, fostering a collaborative and student-centered environment.

    + Manage the $200K program budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and compliance with funding requirements.

    + Carefully monitor program metrics and utilize data to inform decision-making and program management.

    + Establish and maintain relationships with internal departments (e.g., admissions, financial aid, registrar) and external partners to enhance program effectiveness.

    + Formulate and implement local program policies and processes that align with the overarching mission of ACE.

    + Develop strategies to meet enrollment targets and support student retention through comprehensive services.

    Functional and Supervisory Relationships:

    + Reports to Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education

    + Supervises the following positions: Academic Advisor, ACE Program

    Job Requirements:

    + Creative, organized, and motivated individual interested in student development.

    + Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

    + Strong understanding of the academic, financial, and wellness needs of college students.

    + Excellent project management and facilitation skills.

    + Strong supervisory skills and the ability to manage change while building productive teams.

    Job Requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Master's degree in counseling, educational psychology, social work, higher education administration, or a related field from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.

    + At least 5 years of relevant experience in higher education administration, with a focus on student success initiatives and program management.

    + Experience in data analysis.

    + Demonstrated successful program management experience, including strategy development.

    + Familiarity with student information and student success software products (e.g., EAB Navigate, Peoplesoft).

    + Experience with Microsoft Office products.

    + Demonstrated dedication to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within an educational setting.

    + Applicants must demonstrate an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community

    + Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging relative to their role

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Demonstrated budget planning and oversight experience.

    + Supervisory experience.

    Working Environment:

    + Typical office environment

    + Some evening and weekend work required

    Eligibility for Consideration:

    + You must be employed at the University at Albany campus.

    + You must be in a State-funded UUP professional position (MC employees are not eligible).

    + You must have a permanent, term, or probationary appointment. Only temporary employees employed by UAlbany for three or more consecutive years can be considered eligible.

    Professional Rank and Salary Grade: SL-4, Director Special Student Programs, $75,000-$80,000
