• Senior Platform Engineer

•Location:Aurora, CO (Onsite)

•Start Date:Contingent upon project award (Estimated July 2025)

•Clearance Required:Active TS/SCI with CI Poly (U.S. Citizenship required)

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of a transformative era in software engineering — one that blends development and operations into a unified, high-impact platform. You’ll empower development teams by streamlining processes, enhancing collaboration, and accelerating release cycles.

You’ll work on a team managing hybrid-cloud environments that support the development and testing of a critical national asset. This includes hands-on engineering, documentation, and baseline control.

•️What You’ll Do

+ Support the transition of tightly coupled systems to modern infrastructure

+ Design, develop, and support CI/CD pipelines across on-prem cloud environments

+ Automate configuration management and improve infrastructure efficiency

+ Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams

+ Integrate security and compliance services (e.g., encryption, access management)

+ Provide operational support for platform environments

+ Work with technologies like Red Hat Linux (v7+, 8+), Rancher, Docker, Kubernetes

•Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or Physics) + 5 years of experience

+ Experience with automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)

+ Skilled in COTS/FOSS product integration

+ Proficient with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Rancher)

+ Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance (required on Day 1)

•Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience with CI/CD tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab, Artifactory)

+ Exposure to AWS or other cloud services

+ Knowledge of secure coding practices (OWASP, secrets management)

+ Familiarity with networking, scanning tools (Nessus, Fortify, Anchore)

+ Multi-disciplinary infrastructure experience (compute, storage, virtualization)

+ Programming/scripting skills (Python, Java, Bash, Perl, Ruby, C++)

+ DoD 8570 certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA) or ability to obtain

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
