Lab Assistant
(8-10 week contract)
Job Description
The Laboratory Assistant will work with syringes filled with targeted therapeutic products specific to rare diseases. The role involves handling various syringe components, including the syringe body, plunger rod, and plunger stopper, and the needles using a Dremel tool. Each syringe will then be placed into a tub that holds 120 units. The assistant will be responsible for labeling each syringe and placing them into individual boxes.
Responsibilities
+ Perform visual inspections of each syringe for defects such as cracks, misaligned components, or contamination before and after assembly.
+ Verify label accuracy and placement to ensure compliance with product specifications.
+ Document inspection results.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to support a controlled environment.
+ Follow established SOPs and quality assurance protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma.
+ Knowledge of FDA regulations.
Work Environment
This position is for the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm, within a laboratory environment. The role is part of an 8-10 week contract, with potential for extension. Benefits are available, and training will be provided. Multiple locations are available. Note that holiday pay is not provided due to the short contract duration.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
