    Job Title: Service Manager

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in service management within the heavy equipment repair industry and will be responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency, team leadership, and technical expertise of our service department.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage and mentor technicians, ensuring efficient scheduling and workload distribution.

    + Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills.

    + Foster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

    + Optimize repair processes and minimize equipment downtime.

    + Monitor KPIs such as turnaround time, cost efficiency, and technician productivity.

    + Implement workflow improvements to increase service capacity and effectiveness.

    + Ensure repairs meet industry standards and manufacturer specifications and being a technical expert for technicians in the field for repairs as needed.

    + Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot complex equipment issues on excavators, loaders, and other heavy equipment.

    + Collaborate with technicians to resolve repair challenges efficiently.

    + Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and service requests.

    + Oversee parts procurement and inventory management to ensure availability.

    + Manage service budgets, reducing operational costs while maintaining quality.

    + Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for equipment and parts procurement.

    Essential Skills

    + 5-7 years of experience in service management within the heavy equipment repair or related industries.

    + Strong understanding of diesel-driven excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and other construction equipment.

    + Proven ability to lead service teams and optimize performance.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills for managing technicians and customer relationships.

    + Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues and implement process improvements.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with equipment such as excavators, loaders, and dump trucks is a huge plus.

    + Familiarity with brands like Caterpillar is advantageous.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

     

    Profit sharing, quarterly bonus, company car and strong 401K/ PTO options.

     

    Workplace Type

     

    This is a fully onsite position in Dalton,Georgia.
