Job Title: Lab Assistant Intern
Job Description
The Laboratory Assistant will work with syringes containing targeted therapeutic products specific to rare diseases. This position involves handling various syringe components, removing needles using a Dremel tool, and placing syringes into tubs holding 120 units. Responsibilities include labeling each syringe and placing them into individual boxes, performing visual inspections for defects, verifying label accuracy, documenting inspection results, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Responsibilities
+ Handle syringe components including syringe body, plunger rod, and plunger stopper.
+ Use a Dremel tool to remove needles from syringes.
+ Place syringes into tubs holding 120 units.
+ Label each syringe and place them into individual boxes.
+ Perform visual inspections for defects such as cracks, misaligned components, or contamination.
+ Verify label accuracy and placement to ensure compliance with product specifications.
+ Document inspection results.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to support a controlled environment.
+ Follow established SOPs and quality assurance protocols.

Work Environment
The position operates within a laboratory environment on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
