Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist
Job Description
The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for overseeing suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and parts necessary for production. This role involves issuing and verifying material releases, purchase orders, and handling service and repair parts. The specialist will also manage design changes, facilitate supplier meetings, and develop strategies to meet production targets.
Responsibilities
+ Manage suppliers and ensure material releases, purchase orders, and service parts meet production requirements.
+ Issue and verify accuracy of material releases, purchase orders, and service parts daily and monthly.
+ Verify orders are acknowledged by suppliers, covering all OEM and export destinations.
+ Issue Honda Trouble Reports to suppliers and verify accuracy of documentation.
+ Monitor return for accuracy of countermeasure and timeliness.
+ Hold supplier meetings to discuss production needs and resolve issues.
+ Issue design changes and ensure application timing for production requirements.
+ Update receiving dashboard and resolve discrepancies.
+ Order shortages and monitor supplier processes for production changes.
+ Assist in supplier meetings to discuss upcoming needs or resolve issues.
+ Develop strategies to achieve production targets and address scheduling gaps.
+ Prepare presentations and establish communication networks with suppliers.
+ Identify and escalate critical issues to management for timely resource allocation.
+ Review and issue purchase orders via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
+ Issue and confirm supplier design changes.
+ Issue delivery trouble reports via North American Reporting System (NARS).
+ Manage exceptional transportation via CEVA Matrix system.
+ Support Build Out part control and New Model startup processes.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
+ Minimum of 3 months relevant experience, including co-op/internship.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of basic inventory management and manufacturing workflow.
+ Strong organizational skills.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and work with limited direction.
+ Ability to troubleshoot complex problems in a team-based environment.
+ Consistently identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
+ Collect data and apply business knowledge to solve problems.
+ Effectively lead project themes and secure buy-in from teams.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.44/hr.
