Job Title: Lead Quality SpecialistJob Description
As a Lead Quality Specialist, you will spearhead the site mission and objectives within Quality, aligning with Global and Regional strategies to fulfill legal, business, and customer requirements. You will ensure the control of documentation and policy-making processes on-site, rigorously monitor prerequisite food safety programs, analyze trends, and meet the performance indicators established according to the site's Quality Policy.
Responsibilities
+ Lead the monitoring and improvement of hazard control programs such as hygienic zoning, food safety plans (HACCP), food defense, intentional adulteration, and food fraud.
+ Plan and ensure the smooth running of internal audits and monitor the training and competency of internal auditors.
+ Actively participate in the preparation and conduct of external audits.
+ Coordinate the integration of new employees and train all site employees on the requirements of our Food Safety Management Systems.
+ Perform root cause analyses (RCAs), determine corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), and ensure the follow-up and closure of actions related to non-conformances and opportunities for improvement.
+ Manage requests for information and submit technical documents required by customers as requested.
+ Lead onsite mock recalls and traceability exercises.
+ Participate as an active member of the sensory panel for organoleptic analyses (Taste).
+ Oversee the Supplier Non-Conformance Management Process to ensure effective and systematic closure.
+ Participate in daily/weekly meetings relating to deviations and complaints as requested.
+ Lead small quality-related scope projects on site.
+ Monitor and lead other Management System requirements such as Kosher, Halal, RSPO, Organic.
Essential Skills
+ Data entry and COA proficiency.
+ Strong understanding of SOP and food safety protocols.
+ Experience in food manufacturing and HACCP principles.
+ Audit skills and familiarity with Quality Management Systems like SQF, BRC, FSSC, ISO.
+ Fluency in local language and English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or food industry within a manufacturing background .
+ Highly self-motivated with strong self-discipline and a structured approach to practices and improvements.
+ Food Hygiene Supervisor Level, HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, and Lead Auditor Qualifications.
Work Environment
The role is situated in a laboratory setting where safety and cleanliness are paramount. It requires the use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel. The laboratory is equipped with advanced instruments such as HPLC, GC, and ICP, and you will be expected to maintain a high standard of laboratory hygiene and documentation practices.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $45.00/hr.
