This position will serve as a cook that performs a full range of cooking duties within Lallie Kemp's food service operation.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Performs the full range of cooking duties within a food service operation.
Prepare multiple meals including patient special food for therapeutic diets, special formula diet per Registered Dietitian and all other patient foods.
Serve as baker to include but is not limited to: mixing, kneeding and preperation of bread, rolls, biscuits, cakes, anad pastries.
Estimates food needs and requisitions, receives, and distributes food supplies to subordinate cooks.
Plans and directs the preparation of foods for immediate consumption and preservation of foods for future use.
Performs work involving the use of high heat, open flames, and steam, and is exposed to harsh chemicals, gases, and cleansers.
Reports to supervisors any unsafe working conditions and defective equipment.

The Food Service Specialist 1-3 vacancy is a full-time position located within the Nutritional Services department.
As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as an Food Service Specialist 1, Food Service Specialist 2, or Food Service Specialist 3 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s).
