    GMC Overview

     

    Global Markets Credit (GMC) is responsible for ensuring a comprehensive and consistent credit underwriting and monitoring process for Global Markets lending and trading activities. GMC partners directly with the Global Markets front line unit for client selection, underwriting, and monitoring activities to drive revenue growth while maintaining appropriate risk disciplines. GMC also coordinates engagement with key control partners, including Global Risk, Finance, Credit Review, and Audit in accordance with our Risk Framework.

     

    The GMC Portfolio Management Team is responsible for reporting, data analysis, and portfolio management of the GMC lending and trading portfolios. The Lending Reporting Analyst will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and improvements of reports and the analysis and presentation of data under the aggregate GMC scope.

    Job Description

    As a Lending Reporting Associate, you will be integral in delivering credit risk reporting, data analysis, portfolio reviews, and presentations on the Global Markets Credit (GMC) lending portfolio. The Associate will contribute to a robust monitoring environment through analysis and written updates to management. You will work closely with colleagues in the Global Markets business, Risk, GMC Credit Officers, and other Portfolio Managers. The experience level of individuals in this role typically ranges from five to seven years and requires a demonstrated aptitude with data, reporting and written communications. Associated role title includes Associate Portfolio Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    + Deliver routine reporting and presentations on an accurate and timely basis to contribute to a robust and efficient monitoring environment

    + Analyze portfolios to determine key drivers and conduct further investigation as needed

    + Write effective summaries and presentations to complement reporting and data

    + Liaise closely with credit officers and other stakeholders to adapt or provide reporting, data analysis and data solutions

    + Produce ad hoc reporting and presentations to address business needs and risk environment

    + Support data integrity by identifying, escalating, and remediating data issues

    + Demonstrate a strong control environment by incorporating checks and creating and maintaining process documentation

    + Coordinate and contribute to presentations in response to regulatory and senior management requests

    + Support enterprise initiatives and partner with applicable stakeholders across the firm on emerging topics

    Required Qualifications:

    + At least five years of direct reporting experience, of which at least two years reporting on a lending portfolio is strongly preferred

    + Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills and attention to detail

    + Critical thinking skills to evaluate and investigate information

    + Ability to work with GMC teammates and other partners in a fast-paced environment and with a quick turnaround time

    + Ability to join the dots across a myriad of systems and data to design efficient reporting and processes

    + Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with ability to quickly learn new programs and applications

    + Proficiency in SQL, Alteryx, and/or Python is a plus.

    + Personal drive, and a sense of urgency and responsiveness with a willingness to grow, learn, and take on increasing levels of responsibility

    + Desire to improve and streamline processes, along with the ability to troubleshoot independently
