OASIS Ascent = Observation, Assessment, Stabilization, and Intensive Support.

OASIS Ascent is a short-term residential treatment program for teenagers located in Provo, Utah. The families we serve are in crisis and need support keeping their child safe right now. At OASIS Ascent, we provide thorough assessment, around-the-clock secure care, and intensive support to teens boys. We provide a safe setting for adolescents to stabilize where they and their families meet with licensed clinicians to determine the underlying causes of distress and what next steps make the most sense for their needs.

We are looking for an Academic Advisor to join our team. As an Academic Advisor, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to the students for their online class. You will teach life skills and monitor their academic performance, and help them develop effective study skills and coping skills.

You will work closely with the teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure that each student receives the necessary support to succeed academically. Additionally, you will provide counseling services to address any academic or personal issues that may arise and help students set goals and create plans for their future.

The ideal candidate for this position has a passion for working with young people, patience, strong interpersonal skills and able to provide guidance to students in a compassionate and empathetic manner.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have skills in teaching students on an individual basis, the ability to counsel with students, parents and schools, have technical skills for the delivery of digital curriculum, be proficient in Edgenuity and GoGuardian and a love for students who don't fit the traditional mold.

+ 21+ years of age

+ Able to pass criminal investigation background check

+ Eligible to work in the USA

+ Able to pass motor vehicle record check

+ Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)
