The Qualcomm Automotive Team is seeking a SoC platform software architect to contribute to the development of next-generation automotive solutions.

As the SoC Platform Software architect, you will be responsible for comprehending software product requirements, use cases, and applications, and their correlation to specific hardware blocks or sub-systems. Your role will involve defining software architecture for system requirements and collaborating with hardware and software teams to develop world-class solutions. The objective is to deliver top-tier, next-generation solutions to automotive customers worldwide.

Minimum Skill/experience:

+ 10 years of software experience in embedded software development for ARM based systems

+ 3 years of experience driving ASIC architecture decisions from a software point of view.

+ Strong hands-on experience in at least 3 or more areas in Linux kernel, Micro kernels like QNX, Bootloaders, SoC architecture, ARM architecture, SoC/ARM security, Virtualization and Hypervisors, SoC Low-power management frameworks, performance analysis, Multimedia systems (Camera, Audio, GPU, Display, Video etc), Device drivers (PCIe, Ethernet, Storage, DDR, I2C, SPI etc), strong C programming and SoC HW debugging

Preferred qualifications:

+ Master's degree or PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

+ Exposure to automotive SW development processes and standards (e.g., ASPCE, ISO26262 and ISO21434)

+ Knowledge of interaction types between hardware and software for different types of standard hardware blocks, CPU, and accelerators.

+ Working knowledge on HW/SW safety mechanisms like BIST, Voltage/Clock monitoring, Failure mode analysis

Note: This position is open to both Staff and Sr Staff level. The compensation will be offered as per the job level.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Pay range** **and Other Compensation & Benefits** **:

$162,600.00 - $244,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
