    Position Summary

    The Classics Department at Bowdoin College invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible visiting assistant professor position for the 2025-2026 academic year. The appointment is for one year and begins July 1, 2025. The teaching load is two courses per semester and will include courses in Roman history, Latin, and Greek. The subfield is open; we are especially interested in candidates who value being part of an undergraduate interdisciplinary group. A PhD in Classics is expected by the start of the semester.
