    Location - Benicia, CA

     

    Monday - Friday 12:00pm to 10:00pm

    Responsibilities

    The Warehouse Manager will lead all elements of Route Loading, Inventory Management, and Warehouse Facility Management in multiple branch locations in the assigned Region. The Warehouse Manager will lead a team of 8-12 Loaders responsible for safely and accurately loading bottled water, coffee, and tea onto route delivery trucks. This role must have the ability to lead a cross-functional partnership with route delivery, production, and supply chain to ensure product supply is available to satisfy our customer needs while resolving supply issues if they arise. This leader will foster a “safety first” culture through awareness, training and accountability. This role must create a positive work environment through real-time observation and specific, constructive and actionable feedback. Adhering to standard operating practices will help ensure that warehousing plans are executed while performance and budget goals are achieved. This role will act as a conduit between local facilities, the region, and HQ on inventory management/control functions.

     

    + Drive customer satisfaction through real-time oversight of route loading, inventory management and facility management

    + Champion safety by actively leading and demonstrating behaviors aligned to DS Services Core Safety Principles

    + Own execution and adherence to DS Services’ standards for all branch processes related to route loading, inventory management and facility management through cross-functional collaboration

    + Support the personal and professional development of loaders through structured coaching conversations and documented performance reviews

    + Promote a positive employee experience through on-boarding, orientation, and employee engagement activities

    + Driver of continuous improvement initiatives, execution of training, and adherence to inventory management best practices and SOPs

    + Responsible for maintaining staffing levels through talent acquisition, development, and retention

    + Generate and disseminate inventory management reporting to all branches

    + Share best practices with peer team and leaders to drive productivity improvements and realize cost reductions

    + Deliver financial plan for area of responsibility through sound financial decision making

    + Actively manage warehouse layout for all branch locations

    + Ability to inspire a change management mentality with associates to execute transformational business initiatives

    Qualifications

    + BA/ BS Degree strongly preferred

    + Experience successfully managing multiple facilities and teams (e.g. 10+ people) of service, operations, or logistics employees required

    + Experience with inventory management required

    + Experience safely working with forklifts required

    + Must be certified or willing to become certified to operate a forklift

    + Passion for working safely and demanding safe work behaviors from direct reports

    + Open-minded to change and capable of leading a team through resistance

    + Ability to effectively manage, develop and train direct reports to support the company vision, goals and objectives

    + Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills

    + Experience managing and anticipating business challenges and changes

    + Prior experience managing a facility/branch preferred

    + Ability to listen and respond to information effectively and influence decision makers

    + Strong technical ability and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

    + Ability to pass Company pre-employment background check and drug screening test.

    + Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
