About you and this role
Dowhas an exciting opportunity for aSenior Global Product Manager for Acrylic Emulsions! This position can be located inCollegeville, PAorMidland, MI.
In this role, you will drive the implementation of the value center strategy and lead/develop the asset strategy to align and maximize the value center profitability both short and long term (P&L).
Responsibilities
+ Drive valuable growth of the Acrylics Value Center. Leads area VCMT (Value Center Management Team) / PMT (Product Management Team) of the Acrylics Value Center to align all functions / x-functional (sales, marketing, supply chain, operations, etc.) to deliver business results.
+ Drive Acrylics Value Center to reach top-quartile cost competitiveness. Drive productivity and cost efficiency initiatives. Responsible for optimizing production assets for max utilization (cost / margin optimization).
+ Responsible for the optimization and management of product mix for asset efficiency and maximum value/margin extraction and definition of pricing strategy including floor and target price guidance.
+ Responsible for delivering the EBITDA plan for the value center/product line/business opportunity assessment, prioritization and business case investment justification. Including partnering with purchasing, external manufacturing, working with global tech center.
+ Lead on asset strategy/investments enabling growth/expansions/optimization with a strong level of collaboration with the asset owning business (DCM).
+ Drive opportunity assessment, prioritization and business case investment justification. Including partnering with purchasing, external manufacturing, working with global tech center leads on asset strategy/investments enabling growth/expansions/optimization.
+ Provide leadership and guidance to ensure quality products and services to maximize customer satisfaction for DCC´s targeted customers and risk management.
+ Participate on Global BMT (Business Management Teams) and area CLT (Commercial leadership teams).
+ Participate in S&OP. Secure area-specific supply/demand balance. Understand challenges, determines where reductions or upsides globally need to take place by working with regional counterparts to balance globally.
+ Lead the information collection and direction setting on market fundamentals, pricing tactics, supply demand, etc. on a regular basis to set direction and gain alignment with the commercial organization.
+ Understand raw materials, cost drivers, make vs buy, envelope returns.
+ Lead global and regional competitive landscape update for the value center on regular basis including competitive benchmarking.
Required Qualifications
+ A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.
+ A minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience.
+ A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
Preferred Qualifications
+ An MBA or higher education.
+ Commercial (Sales and Marketing experience).
+ Chemical/technical/engineering background.
