Summary:
Marathon Petroleum Company, LP is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Administrative Assistant to support the Transport & Rail Department, specifically focused on the Ohio East Fleets. This role provides a wide range of administrative and operational support to departmental leadership and team members. The ideal candidate will be professional, adaptable, and capable of handling confidential information with integrity.
Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Canton Fleet leadership & personnel.
• Perform general office duties, including data entry, document filing, scheduling meetings, and managing calendars.
• Coordinate and manage employee payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Prepare purchase requests/orders and code invoices to support departmental operations.
• Manage inventory of office and operational supplies; place orders as needed.
• Help organize and support team meetings, departmental events, and community engagement activities.
• Maintain controlled documents and records for Transport & Rail operations.
• Assist with SharePoint site updates and internal communication tools.
• Participate in ongoing projects and provide administrative support as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Previous administrative support experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
