Job Type: Full Time
How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Manufacturing Scheduler at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will be a catalyst in driving timely execution of production across our Formulation, Fill and Assembly value streams. You will proactively manage scheduling operations, engage cross-functional partners, and champion process improvements that directly impact our ability to serve patients around the world.

Key Responsibilities
Schedule Management & Manufacturing Support
+ Develop, manage, and communicate a daily and weekly production schedule across Formulation, Fill and Assembly, ensuring capacity and resource constraints are balanced with customer priorities.
+ Lead daily schedule reviews and production walkthroughs with supervisors to validate work order readiness and identify real-time barriers.
+ Release and print batch record documentation, verify material availability, and perform final checks before work order execution.
+ Track work order progression in real time, ensuring timely starts and completions while minimizing delays and past-due PEDs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
+ Facilitate weekly alignment meetings with Manufacturing, QA, Planning, and Staging teams to proactively address risks, constraints, and changes in demand.
+ Partner in Value Stream Mapping and PPI events to drive scheduling flow improvements.
+ Serve as the point of contact for customer concerns regarding scheduling risks, reporting issues with mitigation plans to manufacturing leadership within 24 hours.
Process & System Optimization
+ Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Siemens Sophisticated Planning and Scheduling (APS) Tool, ensuring accurate data for Fill and Assembly.
+ Maintain a level-loaded, 3-week rolling schedule and use planning dashboards and prioritization tools to manage labor and equipment resources optimally.
+ Actively contribute to achieving schedule stability improvements from 78% to 90% within 72 hours of planning.
Operational Excellence & Culture
+ Report out daily schedule attainment metrics and participate in Tier meetings.
+ Achieve ≥95% schedule adherence and <2.5% past-due starts.
+ Demonstrated ability in building relationships across various functional teams.
+ Demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
+ Ability to work independently, typically initiating own tasks with input/mentorship from manager.
+ Ability to thrive in a matrix and cross-functional team environment.
+ Engage in EIS presentations and maintain training compliance at or above 95%.
Qualifications
Education
+ High school diploma or equivalent experience required
+ Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
Experience
1–2 years in a supply chain or production planning role with a degree; or 3+ years of proven experience without a degree.
GMP experience in a regulated Biotech, Pharma, or Life Sciences manufacturing environment is preferred.
Technical Skills
Proficient in ERP systems (E1 preferred), Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to influence without authority.
Coordinated, dedicated, and comfortable collaborating across functions in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $25.60–$37.80.
