Job Summary
This position provides essential support to the Center for Orientation, Retention, and Exploration by assisting with the coordination of student staffing logistics, facilitating an online course for family members, and supporting communication efforts for new students and their supporters. Working under the direction of the Assistant Director, this role helps execute orientation initiatives and outreach efforts to enhance the transition experience for incoming students and their families.

Minimum Qualifications
+ A master’s degree in higher education administration, student affairs, or comparable field by start date. Bachelor’s degree with experience equivalent to a Master’s degree may be substituted.
+ Some knowledge of student development theory.
+ Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Demonstrated ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
+ Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative environment and work across organizational lines.
+ Demonstrated ability to advise, supervise, or mentor students.
+ Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently and as a team member.
+ Some experience with one or more of the following populations: fraternities & sororities, student organizations, program boards, student staff, orientation leaders.
+ Some experience with data management, data reporting, or database support.
+ Some experience with group development and training.
+ Some experience creating, implementing, and evaluating student-centered programs.
