The Manufacturing Engineering Manager reports to the Director of Operations and Provides technical assistance in the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of Automated Guided Vehicles(AGVs). Supports and guides Operations by applying Lean principles. Work with management and staff in Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to meet our goals. Manage Manufacturing Engineering Department Oversee a team of Manufacturing Engineers who will provide engineering guidance through the assembly and testing of AGVs Work with Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality to provide immediate corrective actions to design and supplier issues. Own JIRA Production Project for documenting issues which arise during production and testing. Work directly with assembly and test teams to meet production metrics, including OTD, cost and quality, by providing mechanical and electrical guidance Develop work instructions to standardize manufacturing and assembly processes Work directly with engineering to develop standardized products Participate in Continuous Improvement Activities and Lean Manufacturing to improve efficiency and standardize work. ▪ Develops visual controls to strengthen processes. ▪ Provides input on the production floor layout. Requirements for the role 5 years of experience in manufacturing. Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field Management, supervisory, or leadership experience Supervisory Responsibility: Directly supervises 2-4 Manufacturing Engineers. Work Environment: Position is onsite with some travel to customer sites as necessary Physical Demands: While performing the responsibilities of this job, you are regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. You are occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. You must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
